Plugin - Kiosk

The Kiosk plugin allows you to use a web form for individual prospect or lead submissions. The plugin resets Strala in between submissions automatically and fires a Touchpoint Interaction Event simultaneously.

The Kiosk plugin is ideal for scenarios when information is being entered by someone on behalf of a prospect or lead. A typical scenario might involve a sales reps or 3rd party entering prospect or lead information into a Web form that flows through a marketing automation system and into a CRM system after an event or tradeshow.

In order to tie online interaction activity to the prospect or lead when using the Kiosk plugin, an online association event needs to happen. This might be an email or other online activity that allows us to tie the known identifier back to the online anonymous identifier for the prospect or lead.

Plugin Usage

The implementation process for static forms differs slightly from dynamic forms that submit information without reloading the page (AJAX Implementation In WordPress for example).

Static Forms

Once a web form is created to enter the relevant information, the following code needs to be embedded on that page within the form tag:

data-strala-kiosk data-strala-kiosk_id="<Strala_Touchpoint_ID>"

The data-strala-kiosk portion of the code is a flag to indicate the page is using the Offline Lead Form Plugin. This means Strala functionality is reset after each submission.

The data-strala-kiosk_id="<Strala_Touchpoint_ID>" portion of the code is the Strala Touchpoint tracking code that was created in Strala Touchpoints, which corresponds to all the metadata about the event that is generating the lead.

The final code might then look like something like this:

<form data-strala-kiosk data-strala-kiosk_id="<Strala_Touchpoint_ID>"></form>

You should set up a separate Strala Touchpoint ID and web form for each event. If you use the same tracking code on a different form, you will not have the correct metadata associated with the event.

Dynamic Forms

Once a web form is created to enter the relevant information, the following code needs to be embedded on that page within the form tag:

data-strala-kiosk data-strala-kiosk_id="<Strala_Touchpoint_ID>" data-strala-kiosk-button="#<button identifier>"

The data-strala-kiosk-button="#<button identifier" portion of the code connects to the ID of the button that is clicked for form submission.

The final code would then look like something like this:

<form data-strala-kiosk data-strala-kiosk_id="<Strala_Touchpoint_ID>" data-strala-kiosk-button="#partnerDemoReqASubmit"></form>

You should set up a separate Strala Touchpoint ID and web form for each event. If you use the same tracking code on a different form, you will not have the correct metadata associated with the event.
