Requesting a New Tag in ObservePoint
ObservePoint allows you to request the addition of a new tag to our tag database directly from within the platform. This makes it easy to flag unrecognized tags during your audits or journeys and submit them for review.
When to Use This Feature
Use the Request Tag feature when you encounter a tag in your Audit or Journey reports that is not currently recognized in the ObservePoint tag database.
How to Request a Tag
You can initiate a tag request from two places in the product:
Audit Page Details
Journey Request Logs
Support Portal
Follow these steps:
Navigate to either Audit Page Details or Journey Request Logs.
Locate the network request you want to submit as a tag.
Click the Request Tag icon next to the request.
A modal will appear prompting you to provide the following details:

Tag Vendor – The company that owns or provides the tag.
Purpose of the Tag – A brief description of what the tag does.
Category of the Tag – The type of functionality the tag provides (e.g., Analytics, Advertising, Social Media).
Review your information and click Submit.
For the Support Portal, follow these steps:

2. Select the Tag Requests tab, and then the add button Request New Tag in the top right corner.
3. A new page with network requests from where you need to choose from as the identifier for the new tag.
4. Then, the New Tag Request form pops up.
Tracking Your Tag Request
Once your request is submitted, you can track its status at any time:
Go to Support → Support Portal in the navigation menu.
From here, you can see the progress of your submissions and whether the tag has been added to the ObservePoint tag database.
