Overview

This guide is for any customer who discontinues their subscription to ObservePoint's services and want to understand what happens to their account, the data associated with the account, and best practices and recommendations for off-boarding.

What happens to my ObservePoint Account?

Once your subscription has expired, ObservePoint will immediately deactivate your account and users associated with the account will no longer be able to login.

All Audits & Journeys configured the in the accounts will no longer run, including those scheduled to run in the future or to recur on some regular cadence.

Note: There may be rare exceptions where arrangements have been made with your Account Executive or Success Manager to extend the service for a limited time. Contact them if you feel this applies to you.

What happens to the data associated with my ObservePoint Account?

All Account configurations will be preserved indefinitely.

This means that you can purchase a new subscription in the future and upon your request, we can re-activate the same account you previously used which has all of the same Audit, Journey, Rule configurations, etc.

Data collected by Audits & Journeys will expire 13 months from when it was originally collected. So, if you ran an Audit the day before the contract expired, it would be stored for 13 months, but an Audit than ran 7 months ago will by stored for only 6 more months.

Note: Policies could be subject to change in the future.

Recommendations & Best Practices

We recommend that you extract any valuable insights prior to the expiration of your subscription, but don't stress copying or preserving the configuration settings.

The data that is most important to you will vary based on your core use cases. We can't definitely recommend exports for every use case, but here are some examples of exports you may find most valuable:

  • Tag Inventory

  • Cookie Inventory

  • Tag & Variable Data (select specific technologies)

If you feel like you need continued access to data stored, consider renewing a small subscription to extend your access.

For any additional questions contact your Account Executive or Success Manager
