Overview

Changes to your website can happen over time without you ever noticing. Tags and cookies can go unmonitored and cause security issues from 3rd parties and can be a security issue. Once you have set up Consent Categories and have established an approved list of cookies and tags, you can see any new/unapproved cookies and tags as the Audit performs its scheduled run.

Implementation

Once you have created an Audit, you'll want to create a Consent Category and apply it to an Audit. You can see unapproved cookies and tags in the Audit Summary report. You can click on any report widget to drill into the report.

In this example, you can see 8 unapproved cookies and four unapproved tags.

After clicking on the 8 unapproved cookies, you can see the cookie name and cookie domain and the number of pages that they are found on. Occasionally there will be cookies or tags that you can add to your approved list by clicking the icon under the Consent Category section. This will quickly add it to a Consent Category for you without having to leave the report.

You can export a list of unapproved cookies and tags to share with others to take action.
