Labels allow you to organize your Audits, Journeys and rules by some common thread. Within the platform you can search labels, allowing you to quickly find any item by filtering through items with the same labels. To make the most of labels, it is important to have a well defined and labelling convention agreed between the users of ObservePoint in your organization.

We recommend the following layers of labels to allow you to quickly navigate your items:

Colleague Name

  • By labeling any item you create, you can easily find your own work later on. This also allows you to find the colleague who has done other work to ask questions or collaborate (e.g: jorge espinoza - qa engineer, mary hales - social media analyst).

Business Unit/Subsidiary/Country

  • Label any item according to a logical business grouping so you can quickly find all items which are related to a specific BU (e.g: bancomer, france, entertainment).

Site Section

  • Certain items (particularly Rules) may be only relevant to certain parts of the site. In order to ensure that rules which are not relevant to a site section are not applied to produce misleading results (e.g: all pages, search results page, product pages, order confirmation).


  • Rules should be labeled with the relevant technology. This will make it very simple to look at all the rules for that analytics or marketing tag (e.g. adobe analytics, google universal, clicktale).
