Use Case Overviews

The first thing you’ll see in an Audit report are the Use Case Overviews - a quick glance at the type of information that most customers want to see right up front, depending on their role. There is a tab for an Overview, Analytics, Privacy, and Landing Pages. Start by clicking on the topic most relevant to you, and scroll through the findings. There’s a lot of information there, so be sure to use our tool tips, watch for color coding, and read the descriptions of each metric as you are getting up to speed.

Once you’ve mastered this, check out some of our most popular reports:

  • Tag Inventory shows you all the tags on your site and where they appear (or don’t). This is a great starting place when you”don’t know what you don’t know.”

  • Cookie Inventory is a comprehensive overview of all cookies found during an audit of your website.

  • Tags and Variable Rules display what rules you applied to your Audit, and which ones passed or failed.

You can find more information on our other reports here.

ObservePoint found a problem, now what?

Some of the most common issues found in Audit Reports include broken tags, unapproved/unrecognized cookies, broken pages, digital residue, and third-party cookies. To learn what to do when you find an issue, check out this TipJar, our monthly customer webinar, where we cover steps to remediation.

Additionally, you can use ObservePoint’s Shareable Links to send findings to relevant parties, even if they don’t have an ObservePoint account. To share a report, click the “share” button in the top right of your Audit Report. Enter the recipient’s email address, and add an optional message. You can also just copy a link to the report instead of sending via email.
