Overview
This guide explains how to export your top URLs from Google Analytics and how to use them in an ObservePoint Audit to monitor your top pages.
Implementation
Follow these steps to export your top URLs from Google Analytics:
Log into Google Analytics: Start by logging into your Google Analytics account.
Access Reports: On the left-hand side of the page, click on the "Reports" option (graph icon).
Navigate to Engagement Data:
Click on the "Engagement" tab.
Expand the section to access more options.
Select "Pages and Screens": Under the expanded menu, choose the "Pages and Screens" option.
Customize Your View:
This report displays the top pages visited within a specific time frame.
Use the data picker to select the desired time range.
Ensure the page list is sorted by views; click on the "Views" column to sort in descending order.
Export as CSV
To export this report, locate the "Share" link on the right-hand side of the screen, just below the date picker.
Note: We recommend viewing and exporting this report at least every 30 days to stay updated on your top-performing pages.
Select "Download File": Click on "Download File" to initiate the download.
Choose "Download CSV" Finally, select "Download CSV" to save the report as a CSV file on your device.
You now have a CSV file containing the URLs of your top pages. Copy these URLs and paste them into the "Starting URL(s)" field within an ObservePoint Audit. Make sure to toggle on "Audit Starting URLs Only" and start your Audit.
By following these steps, you'll be able to effectively monitor and analyze the performance of your top pages using Google Analytics and ObservePoint.
